    Vintage antique gilt brass military button. Great Seal button; 2-piece, with cutout device and border over a lined field. Backmark is: Waterbury Button Co. Conn.
    Difficult to date precisely as backmark in use from 1849-1965. Design was introduced in 1902, so button dates sometime from 1902-1965.
    Referenced in Alberts as GI 103.
    Button measures just over 7/8 inch (23mm), loop shank.
