Vintage Batiste Christening or Baptism Gown w/ Slip & Rite of Baptism Booklet

Description

We are pleased to offer a beautiful christening or baptismal gown in snowy white batiste fabric.  It's decorated with embroidered florals and eyelet embroidery as seen in the photos.  It is hand hemmed.  Included is a acetate taffeta slip that is trimmed with lace and a booklet called The Rite of Baptism that was published in 1970;  it appears to have never been used.
Condition:
Bothe pieces are very good to excellent - there a few very faint spots on the back of the slip (see photos);  otherwise no spots, stains,  rips or tears.
