    Description

With the crashed economy now again is the time to quit cable TV and satellite TV and try to get free OTA (over-the-air) TV. Check the FCC’s DTV Reception Map to see what TV stations/channels are possible at your address. Their computer model is based on an antenna 30 feet above ground at your location but it’s still very useful, especially if it shows that you have strong signals.

The final phase for the FCC’s mandated repack, the reassignment of the RF channels on which TV stations transmit, was completed on July 2, 2020. Everyone should rescan the tuners on all their TVs and recorders. If you lost some stations/channels it’s because the change affected the type and possibly the location of the antenna that you need.
    Please note:
Price firm, no offers please, regardless of what eBay automatically posts.
    Full disclosure:
This listing is an extension of my other listing for free information about getting free TV with an antenna:

I encourage you to be smart shoppers and also consider the currently available lower-cost, high gain VHF high band antennas. They are the relatively inexpensive Stellar Labs 30-2476 (on eBay) and the relatively expensive Sky Blue SB32 (sold only by the manufacturer/master distributor in Minnesota, Ness Electronics, and a few other electronics distributors in the midwest). They are also 10-element yagi designs but, unlike the Winegard YA-1713, they have reflectors (see more about that below).
Another seller on eBay was selling his rare, discontinued Antennacraft Y10-7-13 for 0 and no shipping (local pickup only) and he included a test graph from the internet that showed it had higher gain than the Winegard YA-1713.
However, gain isn’t everything. An antenna can have high gain but in actual use the quality of the received signals may not be good enough, resulting in no picture or a picture with problems. I discovered this years ago when I got my first test tuner that had both strength and quality indicators and that explained the importance of selecting and orienting antennas for both parameters.
And, staged tests using transmitters may not always indicate one antenna is better than another. That’s why "very good" antennas sometimes don’t work because there is no one antenna that is right for all people in all locations for the stations/channels you want to receive.

I am relisting this antenna after a San Francisco Bay Area Craigslist respondent wanted to buy it but it turned out he knew nothing about TV antennas and I told him he might not need it and he may have me do testing at his home to find a low cost solution.
This antenna is designed to receive TV stations that are transmitting their channels on RF VHF high band channels 7 - 13.
In the San Francisco Bay area those stations are (with their virtual channel numbers) San Francisco independent KRON 4 on RF channel 7, Santa Rosa PBS 22 on RF channel 5 (now transmitting from San Francisco’s Sutro Tower), ABC KGO 7 on RF 12, and San Francisco NBC 11 on RF channel 13.
Some areas of the San Francisco Bay area can also receive Sacramento ABC 10 on RF channel 10 and Sacramento PBS 6 on RF channel 9.
Do not buy this antenna if there are TV stations you want that are transmitting on RF VHF low band (2 - 6). Also, this antenna will probably not work well for FM radio.
In my opinion the best website to see what stations/channels are available at your address is the FCC’s DTV reception map. It now includes the "repack" channels. Here is the FCC Internet address but it may change so you may have to search for it:

I am a TV antenna consultant and this is one of three of my Winegard YA-1713 VHF antennas that I have used both for testing and for my personal use in my difficult reception location on the border of Pleasant Hill and Concord, California (also the location for pickup if you do not want it shipped).
This antenna performs the best of two other high band VHF antennas and several combination UHF and VHF antennas that I have tested at my difficult reception location. It may or may not be the best for your location.
Unlike the deep fringe versions of the two other brand VHF high band antennas that are available in the U.S., the Winegard YA-1713 does not have a reflector so it is somewhat bidirectional, that is, if you have stations in the opposite direction it may be useful although the front has almost all of the gain.
It is in very good condition with the exception of two rivets that have rust on the heads (see photo).
Separate antennas for VHF and UHF are an advantage for two reasons. One, if necessary, they can be mounted in different locations, and two, separate-band antennas almost always outperform combined-band antennas in difficult reception situations.
When combining UHF and VHF antennas, don’t use a broadband splitter/combiner, use a now hard-fo-find diplexer, either outside to one cable or inside with the separate cables to one cable. Stellar Labs 33-2230 is about to shipped and the QC is bad, many DOA. T
he Antennas Direct one is on their website. The Clipsal 3105 is plus shipping.
The antenna will be shipped in the original box and the carrier will depend on the buyer’s address.
The shipping may be via USPS or FedEx depending on the buyer’s address.
It may or may not go by FedEx and it may not be "Fast" as eBay automatically inserts because it depends on the buyer’s address. My statement/setting for packing and shipping is 3 business days (I walk to the shipping locations in Pleasant Hill, California) but I try to do it on the first business day but sometimes the item isn’t picked up and scanned into the carrier’s system until the following day.
It is listed on the San Francisco Bay Area Craigslist for 0 with, of course, local pickup.
Buyers have 30 days to utilize eBay’s Buyer Protection/Money Back Guarantee that starts from the estimated date of delivery. If a purchase is undeliverable or is lost in transit you must contact eBay directly within that 30 days. If you only contact the seller (me) and you and I are waiting for a resolution by the carrier and it goes past 30 days both you and I loose money.
For local pickup I am a few blocks off of 680 on the border of Pleasant Hill and Concord, California.
