  • Condition: Clean - freshly and gently wiped down from storage. No box or paperwork included. Good used condition with no actual chips, cracks or repairs seen. Possible glare from camera/lighting. As Is - Not Mint Condition per gold front lettering is all but gone (see pic #17), some paint wear here & there around the base (see pics #13-17) and possible small light wear here & there but hard to tell the actual wear per messy paint job. Looks better on display than it all sounds. Normal possible imperfections from manufacturer - glazing, hand painted (messy in some areas per wasn't designed to be perfect or last forever per just an advertisement at store - ie. see pics #9-12), molding, materials, design, a rattle inside from the plug during the firing process (not post production damage!), rough/almost sharp inside bottom edges (see pic #6), discreet glazed over crack on the back of boy's leg from the firing process (see pic #8). See pictures for specific details/condition.

    Dresden - Carl Thieme "Yardley's Old English Lavender" Figurine
    Listing is for a hard to find, beautiful large antique glazed hand painted china porcelain figurine statue of a mother/woman with 2 children carrying baskets full of lavender - original used as product advertising in scientific/chemist shops for Yardley's soap, cologne or perfume.
    From my research, the bottom maker's mark dates the piece to between 1902 - 1918 - But I am not an expert
