Wonderful table top figurine of a whale's tail above foamy water.
Material is a bisque-ceramic, greenware, the type of base material that is later glazed and fired.
This one is a faithful recreation of nature because it employs a white lava technique to sculpt the waves.
The glaze on the whale tail is remarkably realistic, a kind of dark teal and loden green against a deep blue gray.
It's a nice piece.
It has a hole on the underside which suggests it would also be hung on the wall. However, it is likely not a hook as it wouldn't be able to hold very much weight.
Measures 4.25" tall X 5.5" wide X 4.75" deep.
