Historic Disneyland Memorbilia Auctions by Saturday's Toys presents...
an exceptionally rare offering of one of the final items sold under the "Disneyland, Inc." name.
"Disneyland Inc." was founded in 1951 as Walt Disney first considered development for a new amusement enterprise that he wholly owned. In the coming four years, the brainchild of Walt Disney would become "Disneyland Inc." of Anaheim, California... the new theme park first publicly heralded on his 1954 ABC television series, "Disneyland"
This card is one of the earliest 4-image postcards picturing Disneyland in its first year of operation. Numbered as postcard O-1. The card was updated to include the Matterhorn in 1959.
Featured here is
"Sleeping Beauty's Castle" (notably, an incorrect reference... as the castle's official name is "Sleeping Beauty Castle")
Mark Twain (aka Mark Twain Steamboat)
Scene of Jungle River (later known as Adventureland's "Jungle Cruise"); featuring the original dock design of Disney Legend Harper Goff
Scene of Town Square with a view of the Horse Drawn Trolley... and the original red, white and blue bunting that decorated street lamps on opening day in 1955.
Walt Disney sold the "Disneyland Inc." development company back to Walt Disney Productions in 1959 and all remaining office supplies using the "Disneyland, Inc." name were placed into storage at Disneyland's City Hall for the remainder of Walt's lifetime.
Unused; excellent condition... and featuring the perfectly designed logos of all five original "lands" at Disneyland: Main Street, U.S.A., Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland and Tomorrowland.
Also of note, the card makes no reference to Disneyland's zip code; not utilized until 1963.

Saturday’s Toys and Disneyana Auctions
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and Disney historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first Disneyana specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 10,000 coveted Disney treasures since then, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers, collectors and friends throughout the world with a shared interest in the preservation of authentic and accurate Disney history.
Today, online offerings of archival Disneyana keepsakes are presented in celebration of the extended times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately known as "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a tip of the cap to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
