Copyright Walt Disney Productions; with ASI Triangle logo (American Souvenirs Inc.). ASI was a hastily formed company founded by Brett Smithers and William Vanburgh (president), both previous associates of C.V. Wood, Jr (Disneyland's first general manager). As the new company was formed, they were rewarded with a lucrative contract reportedly giving them exclusive rights to souvenir sales within Disneyland (with unauthorized financial benefit to Wood also reported in association with the agreements). No doubt, the contract came as a surprise to Walt Disney when he finally learned how little Disneyland was actually earning from the sales of these souvenirs. When these contracts were ultimately terminated and the souvenir interests folded into Disneyland's own operation, the result was a ,700,000 lawsuit against WED Enterprises, Walt Disney Productions, Disneyland Inc., Jack Sayers, Fred Schumacher and William Stovall. The financial disputes that arose due to these accusations and others like them, was a contributing factor in the termination of C.V. Wood's employment with Disneyland.
Excellent condition; never mailed.

Saturday’s Toys and Disneyana Auctions
was founded in 1994 by Southern California author and Disney historian, Dave Mason. Soon after eBay's launch the following year, Saturday's Toys was among the first Disneyana specialists to strategize in embracing this rapidly developing technology. Having delivered over 10,000 coveted Disney treasures since then, Saturday's Toys is pleased to partner with researchers, collectors and friends throughout the world with a shared interest in the preservation of authentic and accurate Disney history.
Today, online offerings of archival Disneyana keepsakes are presented in celebration of the extended times that allow for family, friends and neighbors to join in memorable gatherings that nurture the strong connections that bind a community together. These treasures are affectionately known as "Saturday's Toys." In that light we present our adopted motto (with a tip of the cap to the Sherman Brothers):
"Oh, let's go fly a kite!"
