Description
Antique Vintage Infant Christening Gown Cotton Eyelet & TucksThis baptism christening gown was handmade by my great grandmother (1869-1955) for one of her children. She trained as a dress maker and owned a treadle sewing machine. Found in a trunk in my family’s Civil War house in Gettysburg Pennsylvania.

100% cotton fabric

Trimmed with eyelet on hem, sleeves and front and back of bodice
·
10 tucks above the hem and 4 tucks on each sleeve
·
All seams have flip sewn enclosed or finished edges
·
Opens in back with a 12” finished placket. Stored with snaps removed but I can include some vintage ones if this gown is to be worn.

Excellent condition – very light browning at neck and one faint spot on the back of the dress appropriate to age - see photos for details.

Recently gently washed and lightly pressed.
Odor free from smoke and pet free home.
