Antique Baby Christening Outfit, Two Dresses, Slip, 6 Pillow covers
These pieces are from my family's closets. The Christening gown was from family that has been in the US for many generations so I am not certain how old it is. The dresses and the slip are from family that immigrated in the 1920s from Germany. The dresses were handmade in the Philippines but I'm not sure where they were purchased. They may have been worn by my mother in the 1920s. There is a nice scalloped hem on one of the dresses and all the pieces have embroidery. The pillow covers are from Germany, I think they were my grandmother's (1890s). There are three sizes, one is 18" x13", four are 15" x11", one is 15" x10". (All sizes are approx.)
Regarding condition, the fabric is age tanned in places. I washed everything gently in cold water but did not try to get the stains out as that would require more expertise than I have. I believe they can be restored to better condition but was afraid to attempt it myself.
