5 VINTAGE DISNEYLAND POSTCARD 1950'S TOWN SQUARE BOBSLED MATTERHORN SMALL WORLD

Description

Fantastic and rare lot of vintage Disneyland postcards! These five cards are from the 1950's just a few years after Disneyland opened. They have been carefully kept in plastic sleeves for many years and are in excellent condition.
Includes the following:
1. New Orleans Square
New Orleans Panorama  -- where the magic flavor and romance of the City of Enchantment live again in Disneyland
2. Tomorrowland
Matterhorn Mountain  -- A Disneyland landmark, the "snow-capped" Matterhorn mountain, towers magestically overall all of the Magic Kingdom. High-speed bobsled runs carry guests down its slopes and through a Glacier Grotto inside the mountain.
3. Main Street USA
Town Square -- Main Street's Town Square represents the typical small town in the early 1900's where the gas lamp is gradually being replaced by electricity; the plodding, horse-drawn streetcar is giving way to the chugging "horseless carriage."
4. Fantasyland
India -- It's A Small World
The mysteries of beautiful India and its elegant Taj Mahal are seen as flat-bottomed boats sail down the winding seven seaways and through the Middle East.

Bobsled
Bobsledding down a "snow-capped" mountain at Disneyland, guests race in streamlined Matterhorn bobsleds, down and around the slopes of the Matterhorn, gliding to a halt at the bottom in a Glacier lake, as onlookers watch from a colorful Swiss chalet.
