    Description

This listing is for 13 US Navy anchor and eagle brass officer's buttons, probably from the WWII era.  Two are plain backed, while the others all have the mark JACOB REED & SONS PHIL.   They are 7/8 inch in diameter.  4 of these buttons have some green vertigris on them, but the others are all nice and clean.   All of my items were found in estate sales and cleanouts on Cape Cod.  None of the items have been touched by the public, just stored in totes. All items have been stored for weeks or thoroughly washed.  I am in a low risk area and I am observing all precautions for virus protection.
I use USPS exclusively for shipping, and in 22 years of eBaying, I have had little or no complaints with their service.  I will ship light items under a pound including books by First Class, which is faster than Media, and eBay gets a discount on Priority Mail which makes the cost of Priority about equal to Standard Mail.  Priority is faster, insured for free up to and they have free boxes for most sizes, and I think that is the best way to go.  I pack things very well with plenty of bubble wrap and peanuts.  I use recycled boxes when I can, not so much during the pandemic, and I only use recycled peanuts, preferably the one that look like Chee-tos, which are made of corn syrup and are biodegradable.  I urge everyone to use recycled packing and paper products whenever they can.
